Recently I sold my 5100B for $450.....it is a beeeautiful example.....not a
mark on it and I had replaced a few dried out lytics....no mods.
It sounds great....better than I thought it did when I owned it.
I don't think I have ever heard a bad one.
My friend is very happy with it.

Denis,
It may also have a degree of dependence as to how far one may have to go to
pick it up, or - to have it shipped.
Just another aspect to toss into the issue.
It would have been prohibitive for myself in Virginia to make the run to
Oregon for the earlier Bauer 707 1KW.
Although I have been shedding the "Heavy Metal" myself! About two each
400lb beasts!

Post by Denis Cote via AMRadioHello AMers;
I am very interested to hear from the group regarding resale worth of two
very clean, unmodified B&W 5100 transmitters. Both have been re-capped and
aligned. One is a 5100 and the second a 5100-B. I also have a 51-SB which is
good but needs some TLC. Any thoughts from the group? I am pondering the
notion of reducing 200 lbs of iron off of the shack table.
